John Gitau

Biography

John Gitau is a PhD student under the Malaria Modelling for Sustainable Public Health Policies in Africa (MaModAfrica) consortium, the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Research and Innovation Center (AIMSRIC), Centre for Malaria Elimination (CME) and the Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases (CRID) at Mount Kenya University, and the Center for Epidemiological Modeling and Analysis (CEMA) at the University of Nairobi. His PhD is Supervised by: 1. Prof. Thumbi Mwangi - Center for Epidemiological Modeling and Analysis, University of Nairobi 2. Prof. Samuel Mwalili - Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Strathmore University 3. Dr. Jesse Gitaka - Center for Malaria Elimination, Mount Kenya University 4. Dr. Bernard Kanoi - Center for Malaria Elimination, Mount Kenya University John is currently developing mathematical models to understand asymptomatic malaria in Kenya to inform malaria interventions by the Kenya National Malaria Control Program (NMCP).
