Amanj holds the position of Reader (Associate Professor) in Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacy Practice at the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom. His research endeavours are deeply rooted in the field of Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Utilisation Research, with a primary objective of enhancing the rational use of medications on both a national and international scale, particularly in Low- to Middle-Income Countries. His focus areas include antimicrobial resistance and stewardship, as well as the management of non-communicable diseases, notably cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. These efforts are undertaken in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Furthermore, Amanj has cultivated expertise in the investigation of medication adherence and persistence, alongside Health Services Research. This includes the development, implementation, and evaluation of healthcare interventions.
