Jacquelyn is in the CEMA Clinical Trials team as the Lead Clinical Research Associate( CRA) for the Ndovu Study. Before joining CEMA, she has been the Internal Monitor for the BFTAF, IMPALA, SUNGURA and TWIGA studies at KNH and JOOTRH sites. The Principal Investgator of the studies is Dr Loice Achieng Ombajo.
Jacquelyn is a Kenya Registered Nurse and holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from the faculty of Health Sciences( Psychiatry), University of Nairobi .Other than the current position at CEMA Clinical Trials Team, she has been involved in Clinical Trial Monitoring with various projects as an independent CRA.
Besides these recent endeavors, she has worked at KAVI-Institute of Clinical Research in various capacities since the year 2003 where over 20 HIV Clinical and epidemiological studies have been completed. During this period, she has been able to participate and contribute immensely in preparing volunteer to participate in HIV clinical trials through the Informed Consent Process, Coordinate studies and train and Mentor Clinical Research staff on Good Clinical Practice, Clinical Trial Monitoring and Research Ethics in the East and southern African region.
