Dr. Mutono Nyamai

Biography

Mutono is a data scientist currently using applied epidemiological modelling techniques to provide evidence for control and elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases. Previously, she has been a post-doctoral research fellow at the Centre for Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis (CEMA) at the University of Nairobi working on NTDs. She has also researched on understanding the transmission dynamics and control of SARS-CoV-2 and rabies in Kenya, employing mathematical modelling techniques. She holds a PhD from the University of Nairobi, an MSc in Data Analytics from the University of Glasgow and an MSc in Environment Governance from the University of Nairobi.
