AM2NTD

Africa Modelling Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases

Hosted at the Centre for Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis, AM2NTD seeks to optimize and increase uptake of interventions within NTD endemic countries through mathematical modelling insights to accelerate the achievement of NTD elimination targets.

AM2NTD Network - Neglected Tropical Diseases Modelling

Network Objectives

Our strategic objectives focus on enhancing NTD control and elimination through evidence-based modelling

Strengthening Local Capacity

Building the capacity of researchers and academics in Africa for NTD modeling through targeted training and mentorship programs.

Enhancing South-South Collaboration

Fostering collaborations among infectious disease modelers in Africa, particularly in NTDs and related areas like malaria.

Increasing Use of Modelling

Facilitating the integration of modeling insights into decision-making processes of national NTD programs in Africa.

Institutionalizing Skills

Supporting the establishment of Centres of Excellence in local universities and research institutions for policy-relevant modeling in health.
