Joy Wanja, MPH, a 4th year PhD Health Communication student at The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University, is keenly interested in children, adolescents, and youth research exploring developing and evaluating inclusive, effective health communication messages.

Joy’s research aims to promote behavior change communication and improve the development of targeted, inclusive, and effective public health messages. Additionally, she strives to ensure that health campaigns provide relevant, non-judgmental, clear, and consistent messaging on the health campaign. Further, it acknowledges the importance of reinforcement and rewarding individuals who present the desired health behavior.
