Dr. Tabitha Okech is a research fellow at CEMA focusing on Health Technology Assessment (HTA). She has over ten years of experience managing preventive and promotional health programs in Kenya as a Pharmacist with an MSc in Field Epidemiology from Moi University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Health Technology Assessment at Mahidol University, Thailand, with a focus on economic modelling for malaria control interventions, specifically vaccines.
Her work integrates health economics and mathematical modelling to inform public health decision-making. At CEMA, she collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to advance the use of economic evaluation and country-level data in policy-relevant health technology assessments. She serves as a member of the Ministry of Health in Kenya's health financing technical working group. Passionate about capacity building, she contributes to training initiatives that strengthen the use of modelling and HTA for universal health coverage in Kenya and across Africa.
