Epidemiology and Economics

Gisele Duhimbaze is a Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Fellow at the Centre for Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis (CEMA), University of Nairobi. Her work focuses on applying economic evaluation and modelling to assess health interventions, analyze financial and policy impacts, and generate evidence to guide equitable and efficient health care decisions.
Through her fellowship at CEMA, Gisele aims to deepen her skills in economics, epidemiological modelling and the translation of data into practical policies that promote fair and efficient health care access across Africa.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and is currently pursuing an MA in Economic Policy Management at The University of Nairobi.
Outside of work, Gisele enjoys drumming, learning Chinese, and engaging in initiatives that promote socioeconomic justice.
